There is no registration fee to attend this workshop. The registration will be open until the maximum capacity of 50 participants. The conference material and the refreshments at the coffee breaks, the lunches of the three days (22, 23 and 24 April) and dinner of Thursday (23 April) will be free of charge for the participants.

Abstract Submission Deadline: March 27, 2015

The Organizing Committee of the Workshop on cordially invites you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee and assigned to the appropriate session.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

1.First of all, please download the template using the link provided here and save it with your name in the filename. Please do not modify the format. Save the abstract(s) as .doc or .docx documents. All abstracts must be submitted electronically using the email [email protected].

2.Acknowledgment of your submission will be sent to the e-mail address provided by the corresponding author. Please make sure that you receive an e-mail confirmation after making your submission. If you do not receive this e-mail confirmation, it means we have not received your abstract. If you are sure you have submitted it, check to make sure you sent it to the correct e-mail address.

3.Abstracts must be written clearly in Spanish or English and submitted prior to March 27, 2015.

4.Notification of abstract acceptance will be announced via e-mail on April 1, 2015.

5.The abstracts selected will be sent to Special Issue.

6.All inquiries regarding abstract submission should be made to [email protected].

Author´s guidelines for Posters
The posters can be displayed starting on Wednesday April 22th 2015, in the allocated stand (marked with a reference). Posters may be displayed throughout the entire period of the conference. The dimensions of the boards are 1189 x 841 mm (A0 standard). At the top right of the poster authors must include the assigned reference.

Authors are responsible for mounting the posters on the corresponding board, as well as removing them at the end of the conference. Organizers will provide the materials for poster mounting. All posters should be accessible for all the duration of the congress.

The scientific committee has scheduled two sessions:

Session 1: Mining risk assessment

Invited speaker 1: Professor Dr. Ahmet Mermut, University of Saskatchewan, Department of Soil Science, Turkey.

Invited speaker 2: Professor Dr. Felipe Macías, University of Santiago de Compostela, Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Spain.

Session 2: Reclamation of mining areas

Invited speaker: Dr. Rocío Millán, Head of Unit Soil Conservation and Recovery in CIEMAT (Madrid), Spain.
